Mountain Men:

He became part of the show from season 9, which premiered June 4th, 2021. Josh was filmed while doing his regular day-to-day tasks. He took this opportunity to teach people about his lifestyle and survival tactics. Josh made 12 episodes appearances until the season 10 conclusion in 2021. On September 1, 2002, Mountain Men season 11 premiered and Josh returned as a regular cast member.

Over the years, the show has featured other naturalists and hunters such as Rich Lewis, Eustace Conway, Tom Oar, Preston Roberts, Jake Hearak, Kidd Youren, Harry Youren, Mike Horstman, Jason Hawk, Morgan Beasley, and Marty Meierotto.

The affair began in his childhood and Josh still manages to continue his primitive ways of living. He lives in Wyoming at the base of the Wind River Mountain Range trying to make the most out of available resources. As a rancher, he is always looking to grow his Bison. Raising Bison while supporting other wildlife:

Josh loves raising Bison. He has shown his admiration for them in the show itself. However, did you know that raising a bison is pretty much more complex than raising cattle? They aren’t usually raised as domestic animals. They require excellent herd companionship, along with grass, water, fences, and a brilliant health plan. 

The fences can be a problem for other wildlife. Old barbwires may affect the migration of deer, elks, antelope, and other animals. Josh has done a fantastic job at ensuring that this doesn’t become a problem for the migrating animals. He has reported that he uses wildlife-friendly fences instead of harmful barbwires for his Bisons.

Yes, Kirk is happily married. His wife’s name is Bonnie Kirk, and she is a professional tanner. In the years of togetherness as a married couple, the pair have given birth to a little girl, Eden Kirk.

Following her husband in the television world, Boonie made her Mountain Men debut in 2020 during season 9 episode 1 “Freedom,” and has since been part of season 10 although uncredited, and most recent season 11 of the reality show.

Bonnie shares similarities with Josh in many ways. She loves the outdoors and enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and paddling the Wind River mountain range where she now resides. Bonnie supports her husband in their pursuit of Homestead living and ranching. She also helps Josh tan the animal skin brought from hunting or trapping.
