Jacob Landry and Little Willie Win Big in Troy Landry’s Gator Contest | Swamp People S16E11 “Swamp Showdown”
In Swamp People Season 16, Episode 11, titled “Swamp Showdown”, which aired on March 13, 2025, Troy Landry rallies his crew — including his son Jacob and Little Willie — with a friendly but fierce challenge: whoever catches the biggest gator gets treated to a home-cooked meal of their choice.
“Whoever catches the biggest alligator… we gonna cook for y’all,” Troy says. “Turtle, squirrel, rabbit, alligator — you name it,” he adds.

A Family Contest with High-Stakes Flavor
The crew splits into three teams: Troy and Pickle on one boat, Jacob and Little Willie on another, and Don Brewer and Calum Landry in a third boat. What starts as a motivational tactic quickly turns competitive, as everyone sets their sights on catching a monster and earning bragging rights — and a satisfying dinner. Don and Calum also hit the water with determination, but their catches didn’t make the final cut in the winner’s circle.
“I know Dad likes to throw these competitions out there,” Jacob explains. “As soon as we get out on the water, he’s like, ‘All right, Peewee, we gotta catch the biggest alligator,’” Pickle explains.
Gators, Guns, and Strategy
Troy and Peewee start strong, catching an 8-footer, followed by a 10-footer. But they know it won’t be enough. A massive 11-footer gives them hope — a gator so strong it’s described as a “tree-shaker.” Still, uncertainty remains until the final weigh-in.
Meanwhile, Jacob and Little Willie make quiet progress, hauling in an even bigger prize — a gator measuring 12 feet 5 inches, sealing their victory.
“That’s what Little Willie guessed — right on the money,” Troy admits. “Good job, bra,” Jacob follows.
Turtle or Tomahawk?
With the win, Jacob and Willie claim their reward: tomahawk steaks, cooked by Troy himself. The episode ends with laughter, teasing, and pride as the family sits around, relishing both the hunt and the moment.
“I changed his diapers till he was 12,” Troy jokes. “I’m changing his at 63,” Jacob counters.
