For most reality TV series, comings and goings are part of the plan. Producers deliberately introduce new characters to spice up the series. In most cases, they change the entire cast by keeping only a few of the members. While the formula might be useful in reality TV series that depend on introducing fresh faces, it is pretty much useless for series like The Incredible Dr.Pol. Focused on Dr. Pol and his crew, the series depends on the performance of the doctors. So when news broke out that Dr. Brenda Grettenberger would be leaving the show, it sent fans into a meltdown. In this article, we will take a closer look at Dr. Brenda and her life on Dr. Pol
Is Dr. Brend leaving the show?
Dr. Brend joined Dr. Pol in 1992 when she had just graduated from Michigan State University. She is entering into the 28th year of her professional career. This is why when rumors started that she was leaving the show, fans were worried. One of the oldest serving doctors in Dr.Pol’s clinic, Dr. Brenda is not someone who can be easily replaced. As Dr.Pol’s son Charles puts it, “Dr. Brenda is such a calming presence. Such a good vet. We are lucky to have her on the team.”
The Incredible Dr.Pol recently wrapped up the 16th season with Dr. Brenda in attendance. While the rumors were there even before the 16th season, Dr. Brenda’s appearance in the series has assured some fans. But as of late, rumors have once again begun that Dr. Brenda is leaving the show. It remains to be seen if she does say goodbye. But as of now, Dr. Brenda is an important part of Dr.Pol’s clinic and it does not look like she is leaving the clinic.
Life as a Vet:
As fans of the show are well aware, Dr. Brenda loves her life as a veterinary doctor. She specializes in handling farm animals like bulls, cows, and goats. Dr. Brenda graduated from Michigan State University in 1992 and has been working with Dr.Pol ever since. She saw an ad for help in the AVMA journal and found her way to Dr. Pol. Dr. Brenda loves her life as a vet doctor and would not trade it for anything else. As she puts it,
“Life as a veterinarian is full of variety. I never really know what I may have to do from day-to-day. We start the day with a schedule and a plan, but the plan gets modified as needed depending on what phone calls come in and what emergencies happen. The ability to multi-task and work with plan B are very important skills.”
Brenda Grettenberg was born on the 23rd of February 1967, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan USA. After graduating from college, Brenda started working for Dr. Pol. During her early years, Dr. Brenda faced her fair share of difficulties. As the farmers were not used to having a female vet, Dr. Brenda had quite a task on her hand. Over the years, Dr. Brenda proved her skills and has since established herself as one of the integral members of Dr. Pol’s team.
