Jane has a daughter named Piper with her former husband Dicran Kassouni, and Atz Lee has a son named Etienne with his former partner Nantia Krisintu. However, Atz Lee and Jane have not had any children together, despite being married for a long time.

Piper Isolde Kassouni is the youngest child of Homesteaders. She and her older brother Etienne grew up in Homer, Alaska, where they learned how to live self-sufficiently. They fished, hunted, raised chickens, and grew vegetables. Piper was a swimmer and joined the Kachemak Swim Club in 2013/14. She finished high school in 2020 and Jane Kilcher, her mother, posted her photos on Instagram. Piper is now in college. Etienne was born on May 12, 2001, and is 6 feet 1 inch tall. He played football in his freshmen years at South Anchorage High School, where he graduated in 2019. He has a girlfriend named Paige, who makes him a better person. Reason Piper and Etienne Kilcher did not appear on the TV show
The Discovery show “Alaska The Last Frontier” follows the homestead life of the Kilcher family as they work hard to sustain a self-sufficient living in Homer, Alaska. Etienne and Piper are the fourth generation Kilchers after their Swiss great-grandparents Yule Kilcher and Ruth Weber pioneered their way to Homer, Alaska during the tension of the Second World War. So, it only makes sense for Etienne and Piper to follow the legacy and appear in the show. Nonetheless, the children did not first appear on the show and there is reason behind it.
Like any other normal parents, Jane and Atz Lee wanted to protect them from the internet trolls and the pressures of fame. Jane explained this decision in a Facebook post on January 29, 2018, saying that they were proud of their kids, but preferred to keep their lives private. She added that they might appear on the show in the future if they chose to do so.
“I’ve been overwhelmed lately of people realizing we have children … that are not on the show… We are so proud of our kids, Piper 14 and Etienne 16, they are not a secret…we just keep their lives private and away from the AWFUL internet trollers ,ETC…but as they get older you may see them (on their own volition ) on an episode or two…. after I have made sure they can deal with all the craziness!!!!”
When Etienne turned 18, Jane gave him the option to join the show, and he agreed. Both Etienne and Piper have been featured in several episodes of Alaska the Last Frontier.
In 2022, Etienne left the homestead to pursue his education at a college in Southern California. This means that he is unlikely to be part of the upcoming seasons of the show.

It’s time for Jane and atz lee to have some kids together.
As their parents it’s g their choice whether or not they appear on the show or not. I respect that. Also if they want children together they’ll have them in their time not ours.
Jane, Atz Lee and all Kilchers thank you. Thank you for your honest portrayal of family life on your farmstead. It reminds me so much of my childhood spending a month or so on my grandfathers farm. I’m 67 years old and also had the opportunity to farm with a Ms Betsy. I can’t tell you how many cows I milked, By Hand! And how many bales of hay I hoisted into the barn rafter. I can’t count how many times I would ride a big white mare 2 miles to my favorite fishing lake. Again thank you for my memories.
One of my life-long dreams would be to come to Alaska and spend a month on the homestead. I’m suffering from a terminal illness that I have fought for 28 yrs. One of my bucket list is to come there. If there is any way you can help to make it happen I would be forever grateful. Unfortunately I don’t have the money to do on my own. Thank you in advance for even thinking about making my wish come true.
I am addicted to Alaska last frontier. I love everyone on there. I have great respect for all of them & there choice to live that way. You have to be strong smart & have great ingenuity. I can’t get enough of the families. Eve is so sweet & her kids are adorable. The only thing that bothers me is it is clear are lee jr absolutely loves his wife Jane, although she comes off as not feeling the same. Just an observation. I’m sure I’m way off. Keep up the good work Kilchers. I love you all.

I was surprised to find out that Jane and Atz Lee have children All the shows where family is stressed as important where untrue because two of these family members are not involved. It was something that was so disappointing to me because the two older brothers are so indignant about the importance of having family near. Once I found out Jane had a teenage daughter, and has never acknowledged her on the show, I understood why she acts so ridiculous on the show, There are many, many times the show witnesses Jane being disrespectful to her husband, all in the name of being silly for the show. It’s made me wonder if she even cares for Atz Lee, or that it’s the money she’s paid by the show to be “silly” and “girlie’, which she is not.. Jane, you are a mother. You are not a teenager, you have a teenager, act like an adult and set an example for your teenage daughter. Stop hiding her for what ever “internet” excuse you have. For crying out loud!
I like watching and seeing there way of life. Atz lee is my least favorite of them. I feel he is very selfish or egotistical. I don’t blame Jane for seeming a little stand offfish with him. I really love Eve and ivan and their children. They all work very hard and seem to enjoy all of it. As far as Jane and atz children go, it is their business whether they choose to have their children on the show or not.
I live in the U.K. And am addicted to the show Alaska the last frontier..Ido admire the lifestyle you all lead and especially love Eivan and Eve and their children. You give so much pleasure to me and I am sure also to millions of other people around the world. I do hop Atz lee has now fully recovered from his accident, Jane please be more loving to your husband, you come across in the show as not caring very much about him and his ambitions for his new cabin in the back woods, but I am sure that’s. it true. It’s their lives and their kids no matter who fathered and mothered them. Jane has spunk and I love it! I use to be that spunky before I got sick. This show gets me out of my head a while to see how great they all are. Every single one of them! Hard workers and all have amazing talent. It makes me so happy to see a whole family even if their not on film., work together and help anyone who needs it. Not many people out there like them. No one should ever tell someone if or when they should have their own children when they already have 2 beautiful kids they call theirs and not mine or yours. Last note” growing up I had a step aunt who would introduce my step brother and sister as her niece and nephew and then say this is Vikis daughter.” even though I was 3 and adopted buy him I was never part of their family! I never called him step dad. He was my daddy. Why do atz lee and Jane not have children together
I think Jane is the only real person on that side of the Kilchers. Her husband and father are about themselves and now Jewel. They could leave and no one would care unless it hurts Jane.
If you ever watched the first season, you’ll see them with their children only in those early episodes. I admire them wanting privacy for their kids. Who cares whose kid is who’s or what ever. Judgements are so ridiculous to express about people you don’t even know. They love both the children very much. You can see that in the first season. Good for them for keeping them out of the cameras.
