One of Tia Torres‘s rescue army at the Villalobos Rescue Centre, Kanani Chock, is one of the lesser-known members of the Rescue Centre. Kanani is also Tia’s adopted son and was raised in the rescue center alongside his twin brother Keli’i Chock, and sisters, Tania and Mariah Torres. Unlike his sisters, Kanani is not too keen on the TV series and has not made a large number of appearances. However, with Tia looking to hand over the rescue center to a new generation, Kanani has stepped up his game. In this article, we will take a closer look at the life of Kanani Chock.
Bits and Pieces:
Not much is known about Kanani and the reality star has done little to amend that. Born on the 20th of April 1987, Kanani is originally from Hawaii but was adopted by Tia Torres. He shares his birthdate with his twin brother, Keli’i Chock, who was adopted alongside Kanani. Apart from a few details here and there, not much is known about Kanani’s early life and education.
Pitbulls and Paroles:
As the eldest son in the family, Kanani began helping out his mother from a very young age. Known for his quick humor and knack of handling problematic dogs, Kanani is often the one lighting up moods after a hard day at work. When Pitbull and Paroles aired for the first time in 2009, Kanani became a fan-favorite due to his ability in handling problematic dogs. However, over the years, Kanani’s fame has been eclipsed by his sister Tania’s. As evidenced in several seasons, the reality star is not too bothered by his fame and enjoys his time off the camera.
When he is not handling problematic Pitbulls, Kanani keeps the adrenaline going with street bikes. A stun rider, Kanani divides his time between the rescue center and stunt riding. In August of 2020, Kanani was involved in a motorbike accident which led to him missing out on the shooting of a new episode for the series. Not much is known about the accident and the extent of Kanani’s injury has been kept a secret. The accident was talked about on the latest episode of the series and the official synopsis read,
“When Kanani is in a critical motorcycle accident, Tia and the Villalobos crew should band collectively to make sure him a speedy restoration.”
Kanani is happily married to Mariah Chock, and the pair have a baby boy.
