Kanani is also Tia’s adopted son and was raised in the rescue center alongside his twin brother Keli’i Chock, and sisters, Tania and Mariah Torres. Unlike his sisters, Kanani was not too keen on TV series and has not made a large number of appearances. However, with Tia looking to hand over the rescue center to a new generation, Kanani stepped up over the years. In this article, we will take a closer look at the life of Kanani Chock.

Pitbulls and Paroles:
As the eldest son in the family, Kanani began helping out his mother from a very young age. Known for his quick humor and knack for handling problematic dogs, Kanani is often the one lighting up moods after a hard day at work. When Pitbull and Paroles aired for the first time in 2009, Ka Kanani wasn’t on the cast member list. He joined the crew in the third season and became an instant favorite due to his ability to handle problematic dogs. However, over the years, Kanani’s fame has been eclipsed by his sister Tania‘s. As evidenced in several seasons, the reality star is not too bothered by fame and enjoys his time off the camera. Kanani has appeared in over 42 episodes of “Pitbulls and Parolees” until 2023. Kanani did take a small hiatus due to an accident only to return back and continue to be part of the Villalobos Rescue Center(VRC). Knani is not only an animal lover but also a thrill-seeker. When he is not handling problematic Pitbulls, Kanani keeps the adrenaline going with street bikes. He enjoys performing motorcycle stunts and posts clips of him doing flips, wheelies, and other tricks on his bike. He is a fan of street bike stunts and has a history of run-ins with the law. He was arrested in 2007 and became a parolee. However, he seems to have reformed since then and focuses on his work and family.
In August 2020, Kanani was involved in a motorbike accident while performing a stunt which led to him missing out on the shooting of a new episode for the series. He was rushed to the hospital and was in critical condition. His family and friends from the Villalobos Rescue Center supported him during his recovery. He did not die from the accident, but he had to undergo surgery and physical therapy. The accident was talked about in the episode of the “Pitbull and Parolles” and the official synopsis read,
“When Kanani is in a critical motorcycle accident, Tia and the Villalobos crew should band collectively to make sure him a speedy restoration.”
He has since recovered and resumed his work and hobbies. On his recovery from the accident, he said:
“It was a tough time for me and my family. I had multiple injuries and surgeries. I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t do much for a while. But I’m grateful for all the support and prayers I received from everyone. They helped me get through it and stay positive. I’m doing much better now and I’m back to work at the rescue center.”
