Dr. Emily Thomas was born Emily Keene on April 4, 1984, in Georgia, United States. She was raised in Warner Robins, Georgia. She completed all of her education endeavors in Georgia from her early years and four years of undergrad to a Degree in Veterinary medicine. 

She has a deep affinity towards animals.

Growing up in Georgia, her parents raised her quite well. She grew an affinity towards animals in her childhood. She had pets like dogs and cats at home. Also, over the years, she has shown her interest in large animals including horses as she studied equine reproduction. As a Vet professional, Dr. Emily shows it in her day-to-day life by carefully taking care of animals and treating the animals in need.

Her Parents are divorced.

Dr. Emily Thomas’s biological parents have long separated. Her father Douglas Keene is currently married to Sheila Davis. The pair took their wedding vows in 2013. Emily is from Doug’s previous marriage even though we are unknown to the facts when or how long Emily’s mother was married to Doug.

She has a striking resemblance to her sister.

It is not uncommon to see blood siblings sharing similar appearances, after all, they are descendants of the same parents. Dr. Emily shares a striking resemblance with her sister Kelly Keene. The two are not twins, Kelly is older than two by 5 years and eight months, born in August 1978.

She is married to her high school sweetheart Tony Thomas. The pair met during their high school days at Huston County High School in Warner Robins, George. The two maintained their relationship over the years before their “I dos” in a wedding ceremony. The pair performed nuptials on May 12, 2007.

A simple math addition will tell you that Emily and her husband have been married for 16 years. So far their marriage has been blissful as such  Tony has been supportive of her and does not mind trading places for her career choice. Previously, Emily and Tony alongside their children lived in Weidman, Michigan where she worked at Pol Veterinary Service. Tony also assisted her with farm calls. In 2019, the family relocated to Virginia where she works as a DVM veterinarian at Warren County Veterinary Clinic.

She is a mother of three children.

It is often said children complete the family bringing a new sense of purpose and happiness to a marriage. The statement could not be truer in the case of Emily Thomas. She and her husband decided to extend the family following her DVM degree. 

In the years of togetherness as a married couple, the pair has given birth to three children. The pair welcomed their first child, a baby girl on September 5, 2012, and named her India. Their second, baby boy, Oscar was born on August 27, 2014, and the youngest Calvin was born in 2017. Dr. Emily is on Twitter and Instagram where she posts about her family and kids more often than not. It is admiring how Emily manages her time for her family smoothly despite being in a profession as rigorous as a Veterinarian.

Emily Thomas’s work commitment made her trade places. 

Emily gained her  Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She took an internship in large animal field services and spent time studying equine reproduction. During her early years of practice, she moved to Newberry, South Carolina, and worked in small private veterinary care. In February 2014 she moved to Rosebush, Michigan, and worked at Pol Veterinary Service located in Weidman. Dr. Emily and her family moved to Virginia in 2019 where she works at Warren County Veterinary Clinic.

She is a former reality television actor.

During her time at Pol Veterinary Service, Emily Thomas became part of the reality television show ” The Incredible Dr. Pol.” She made her show debut in 2015 during season 6 and regularly appeared until season 15 in 2019. She also made the cast of the spin-off “Calling Dr. Pol.”

She likes to paint.

From childhood, Emily was interested in painting. Over the years she has used her brush in different ways but her fascination for nature and animals is evident.

Nowadays, being caught up with family and work commitments it is hard for her to engage more in the hobby but when she can, she does her best to give her effort. Emily also likes to explore her hobby of hiking, trail running, and gardening.
