But instead of looking for new stars, the network plucked two of their best stars from Naked and Afraid, EJ Snyder and Jeff Zausch. Both stars were well received and had made a name for themselves. Early Life:

Errol James Snyder Jr. was born on the 3rd of December, 1965, in Englewood, New Jersey, U.S. Born in the suburbs of New Jersey, EJ had a tough time growing up. He and his late brother Jeff were raised by their single mother. His mother undertook three different jobs just to make ends meet. Errol barely talks about his father and little is known about him. On the other hand, Errol’s brother Jeff passed away in 1986, Just before Errol’s 22nd birthday. EJ attended Ranger School and received his first survival training. He later attended the Army Survival school and started working as a survival expert.

Life in the Army:

EJ decided to join the army when he was just 19 years-of-age. This was back in 1984, and EJ served for 25-years in the army. During his service, EJ served the infantry and was also a part of the airborne units. EJ was deployed in the 1991 Gulf War and was a part of the 2004 Operation: Iraqi Freedom. During his time in the Army, Ej was nicknamed as the “Skullcrusher.” Over the years, EJ served as the Survival and Tracking Instructor, Drill Sergeant, and Ranger Instructor. Errol retired from the army in 2009 but quickly started making a name for himself through TV-shows. He made his first appearance in Patton 360 (2009) which attempted to uncover the life of the military icon, George S. Patton. He then starred in two reality TV series, Naked and Afraid and Dual Survival. EJ paired up with Kellie Nightlinger for the second episode of the very first season. The pair had to survive in Tanzania’s Serengeti Plain. The episode aired on the 30th of June, 2013 and was titled, Terror in Tanzania.
