Of the stars featured in the reality TV series Dual Survival, Cody Lundin is perhaps the only in with mixed feelings. One of the first names on the list, Cody has faced his fair share of hardships on the series. From being threatened by Joseph Teti to getting fired for safety reasons, Lundin did not have the best of times on the show. But for all his complaints, Lundin rose to fame following his appearances on the reality series, Dual Survival. Lundi featured from the first season and was the lead character till the fourth series. In this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of Cody Lundin.
Early Life:
Cody Lundin was born on the 15th of March 1967 in Yavapai County, Arizona, US. Born and raised in a military family, Lundin is an only child. During his early years, Lundin moved quite a lot with his family. The family finally settled down in Laramie, Wyoming, where Lunding attended a junior school and high school. After graduating from high school, Lundin went wayward and started living on the streets, in a commune, in the backyards of friends, and then in a brush shelter. During his time at the brush shelter in Prescott, Arizona, Lundin attended Prescott College. He graduated with a B.A. in Depth Psychology and Holistic Health.

Professional Career:
Lundin has always been a fan of the outdoors. A survival instructor by profession, Lundin lives an off-the-grid life in a self-designed, passive solar earth home in the high-desert wilderness of northern Arizona. Over the years, Lundin has gathered a significant fan following due to his life-style. In 2003, Lundin released a book entitled 98.6 Degrees: The Art of Keeping Your Ass Alive. He followed it with another book in 2007 entitled When All Hell Breaks Loose: Stuff You Need to Survive When Disaster Strikes. In 2004, Lundin was asked to host the TV series, Lost in the Wild.
Dual Survival:
By the time Lundin met the producers of Dual Survival, he was already a critically acclaimed reality TV star and a survival expert. Lundin was asked to host the series for its very first season in 2010. During his time in the series, Lundin demonstrated several survival skills. Ludin was paired up with Dave Canterbury for the show’s first and second seasons. Dave was replaced by Joseph Teti for the show’s third season and safe to say, Lundin and Teti did not have the best of relationships. The fourth season proved to be Lundin’s final appearance during which he was fired and replaced by Matt Graham.

Leaving Dual Survival:
Cody Lundin was loved by the fans of the show. The barefoot survival expert, Lundin perfectly demonstrated what it was like to live in the wilderness. But Lundin’s tendency to go barefoot proved to be his Achilles heel. In 2014, things changed for Lundin when he was asked by the producers to fall into freezing water to purposely get hypothermia. The same season the series fired Lundin which left him heartbroken. Talking about the show, Lundin commented,
“Although I’ll miss elements of the show, what I’ll miss the most are my fans and the opportunity to teach – on a global level – life-saving skills, indigenous culture, and values of integrity and respect toward our natural world.”
