Brandon learned the different aspects of Alligator hunting from his stepfather Troy Landry. The deadliest hunter around the area, Troy makes the most out of the Alligator hunting season which opens for 30 days every year. Meanwhile, his activities of preparing and hunting Alligators are documented in the History Channel TV show, “Swamp People.”

Brandon also got his opportunity to join the cast of the show. He had his first role in 2012 which was uncredited. Later he appeared from 2013 to 2014 counting his total appearance to 14 episodes. In the show, he would join his younger siblings Jacob and Chase Landry and his mentor Troy to pursue the Gators. Since leaving the show in 2014 Jacob has not returned. Currently, Swamp People is airing its 14th season on History Channel after premiering on January 5, 2023.

According to his Facebook account, Brandon joined Conrad Shipyard in Morgan City, Louisiana, in the position of estimating manager in December 2013 and still works there.
