Growing up Catrina’s father was a great source of inspiration and encouragement for her. He always supported her in pursuing whatever made her happy, even if it meant working with her “own two hands” in a male-dominated field. He taught her the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity. Her father was also her role model based as she puts it, “Not only did he work 24/7 to provide for our family, he was my own personal superhero, there was literally nothing that man couldn’t do. (At least in my eyes).”

Still at University, Catrina got a job as a sales representative with a home builder. But the Texas housing market crash in 2008 proved to be a huge roadblock in Catrina’s career and she had to improvise. On how the two met Hester opened during an interview by saying:
“We first teamed up when I was overwhelmed working on a flip. I needed some help, mainly design-wise, so I went to the Snows and said, ‘Hey can I borrow Catrina for this one job?’ And we hit it off. We’re really good friends now, and we work together well, I think.”
Since, they have flipped dozens of houses, impressing viewers with their creativity, craftsmanship, and chemistry.
Catrina’s favorite part of flipping houses is repurposing old elements of the house and giving them a new life in the new design.
