Although the reason for the divorce has not come out, having decided to separate at the crucial stage of parenthood with a baby to look after, some serious fall out must have happened. Also, the couple juggled the custody battle for quite some years.

This aspiring doctor received DVM degree from Atlantic Veterinary College in Canada in 2004. He ran his practice as a mobile large-animal veterinarian in Santa Cruz, California and worked there for two years from 2004 to 2006. He later came to Hawaii to receive training on ocean wildlife veterinary and ended up staying.
Since 2007 he has been providing his service in Hawaii. He lived in Maui for ten years before relocating to Kauai in 2017. As a mobile large-animal car veterinarian Dr. Bottoms carries necessary healthcare equipment and medicine in his mobile vehicle as he attends door to door to perform treatment on animals.

The show showcased Dr. Buckeye Bottoms’ passion for animals, his expertise in veterinary medicine, and his adventurous lifestyle.

I love to watch Dr. Buckeye hope you renew him for another season. He is so good with the animals & seems to know what he is doing. Every Vet is different I just hope that the Valcanos have not stopped him from getting to some of the animals. And I pray no animals were hurt because of the Volcano eruption it has gone on for so long. How does Buckeye get paid? Does he live in Hawaii does he have have his own home with Kevin. The residents of Hawaii are fortunate, indeed, to have Buckeye and Kevin to come to their rescue when their animals need help. They truly seem to appreciate the loving care Dr. Buckeye gives them. Personally, I never realized how much animals understand about we “knowledgeable” humans! They are so much more intelligent than I ever realized. You seem to have a nice life there, Buckeye. Love the show he’s amusing intelligent and has a warm heart 1 episode that had me very upset that really wasn’t the doctor’s fault but the family that lived off the grid and their dog Pucca, broke my heart to see the dog suffering all night when he might have been saved if they had just let him come earlier poor thing was suffering hated that when you see your pet sick especially that ,sick you should respond immediately!!

Enjoy the show and hope it continues for a long time. I have two rescue Pugs and have learned so much from Dr. Buckeye. He explains everything so clearly. The season finale was on last night and I hope there will be many more seasons.

I don’t know if Dr. Bottoms reads the comments, but I must say, I am falling in love with this man! I just love the way he cares for the critters. He has a real love for them. I just can’t help but wonder, who is caring for him? He is just soo handsome and from what I see on the show, he has a gentle kindness. I don’t know if there is a Mrs. Dr. Bottoms, or if he has time for one, but I feel he would benefit from some TLC himself. I notice he is a hugger. I am a hugger too! I feel a genuine affection for, and bond with him. I hope he doesn’t burn himself out.
