Professional Career and Marriage:
Not much is known about Robin’s professional career and the reality star has not been too open about it. She started her modeling career at just 17 years of age and while Robin had yet to hit stardom from her works as a model, things changed after she met Ted Vernon. The due met in 1998 on a blind date. Things went well despite the obvious age gap between the couple, and the duo decided to make things official in 2002, just 2-years after dating.
Around the time Ted and Robin tied the knot, the former was already on his way to becoming one of the best car dealerships in town. Alongside Robin, Ted took South Beach Classics and turned it into one of Florida’s largest classic car dealership. The fame brought the duo a reality TV show with the Discovery Network. Since then, the duo found success not just in car dealerships but in reality TV as well. Robin, in particular, was aided by the reality TV series which not only helped her to stardom but also increased her workload as a model.
Other than her life in South Beach Classics, Robin also tried her hands in acting and starred in a few films including Hell Glades in 2013, and Bikini Swamp Girl Massacre in 2014. In 2011, Robin also made an appearance in an adult movie, South Florida: Topless Beauties (2011).
In 2016, Robin and Ted called things off after Ted physically assaulted Robin. The incident happened in 2015 when Ted taunted Robin by receiving a call from another woman and mentioned that he had upgraded. In response, Robin took the keys of the car and a bag of clothes wishing her husband goodnight as she jokingly walked out of the room. This sent Ted into a fit of rage and he began punching Robin. By the time the police arrived on October 10, 2015, Ted was long gone and Robin was left with a blackened eye and bruised lip. The police statement read,
“Mr. Vernon became violent and struck Mrs. Vernon with a closed fist about the face, chest, and back area as well as attempted to poke her eyes out with his thumbs.”
The pair went through a nasty legal battle for custody of their son, Ted Vernon Jr. Their legal troubles ended up spelling the end of the series which was in its fourth season.
