The Garage squad believes that there is a heartbeat under every hood, waiting to be revived. And as the engine of a dead car lets of that familiar hum, you find yourself thinking if their belief is true. The cast of the Garage Squad takes on killer cars and trucks and tries their utmost to make sure you hear the familiar hum of the engine once again. The official page for the series claims that the cast brings the cars back from the great beyond. And while the concept of the great beyond for cars is debatable, there is no debating on the work of Garage Squad. In a cast that comprises almost entirely of men, Lauren Bohlander was the first sole exception.
Lauren Bohlander was born on the 11th of January 1982 in Lincoln, Nebraska. There exists very little information on her parents and siblings. Lauren spent much of her early childhood in Cambridge City, Indiana. Growing up, she attended Lincoln High School and passed her matriculation exams in 2000. A sports enthusiast, Lauren was part of the school’s volleyball and basketball teams. She pursued higher education at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. After graduating with a degree in Communication Arts and Sciences in 2004, Lauren began working as a television host.
During her early years as a television host, Lauren moved from one station to the other. She gathered experience in different fields of broadcasting and worked for some renowned names in the process. The FOX Sports in Florida, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, and NBC sports are few of the high profile names associated with Lauren. Her first big break came in the year 2008-2009 when she was tasked to be the host of NCAA Women’s and Men’s College Basketball for the Big Ten Network.
For the next three years (2010-2013), Lauren hosted several racing events including Indianapolis 500, Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, and Chevy Florida Insider Fishing Report.
Working for Garage Squad:
In 2014, it was announced that Lauren would become the new host of the reality series, Garage Squad. The series aired on the Velocity network and Lauren co-hosted the series alongside Bruno Massel. Lauren worked on the first nine episodes of the series before being replaced by Heather Storm. Even though she has long left the series, Lauren is thankful for her time at Garage Squad.
Lauren is enjoying a happy married life with the Brazilian race driver, Tony Kanaan. The pair met sometime during 2011 when Lauren was busy covering racing events. The pair dated for a couple of years before eventually tying the knot on 8 March 2013. The pair got married in Las Vegas in an exclusive ceremony with only family and friends. The couple is proud parents of three lovely children. Deco is the eldest son of the family who was born in 2015 followed by Max in 2017. The youngest of the lot is Nina who was born in 2018.
In addition to her work as a host, Lauren has also tried her hands in acting. She has played small parts in TV series and commercials and has appeared in some moves as well. As of 2020, Lauren’s net worth is estimated to be over USD 1 million.
