Grace Victoria Phipps Padilla was born on the 4th of May 1992, in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, to Kate and Gil Phipps. The eldest child of the family, Grace has a younger brother. Born in Austin, Grace moved to Boerne when she was quite young and later went off to San Antonio. As far as academics are concerned, Grace graduated from Robert E. Lee High School’s North East School of the Arts, where she majored in musical theater and graduated summa cum laude. An undergraduate student at Columbia University, Grace is yet to graduate. While still at college, Grace won the 2010 Las Casas Performing Arts Scholarship Competition. Seven days into her time in Los Angeles and Phipps landed the prime role as spunky Bee in the DreamWorks 2011 remake of the 1985 comedy horror film Fright Night. The same year, Phipps also worked on the role of Amy in the ABC Family fantasy drama series The Nine Lives of Chloe King. The series was canceled after a single season in 2011 but Grace went on to land the role of April Young, in The Vampire Diaries. The series proved to be a huge stepping stone in her career and led to another recurring role in the TV series, Baby Daddy. She stayed with the series for two years from 2013 to 2015 and took on a series of roles beyond that.

Over the years, Grace has taken on a series of roles including Teen Beach Movie (2013), Supernatural (2013), Austin & Ally (2014), Hawaii Five-0 (2015), CSI: Cyber (2015), Teen Beach 2 (2015), Scream Queens (2015), and lastly on Z Nation (2017-18).

While Phipps’s movie appearances fall short of her works in TV series, she has had a few of them over the years. Some of her works include Fright Night (2011), The Signal (2013), Dark Summer (2015), Some Kind of Hate (2015), Tales of Halloween (2015), and The Lost Weekend (2019).
