One of the ex-stars of the reality TV series Ghost Hunters, Britt and Jason go way back. So when Jason invited Britt to help him out with a case, Britt could not decline the offer. Even though he was invited for a single case, he ended up staying for more than a hundred. A controversial character, Britt is not popular amongst the fans. The hate seems mutual, as Britt is unaffected by what fans have to say of him. In this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of Britt Griffith.
Life in Hollywood:
Ever since Britt was old enough, he started working in several Hollywood movies. He did everything from paging, security, props, and set building to production assisting. He was mostly involved behind the scenes. In his late twenties, Brett felt that he has had enough of Hollywood and got out to work a blue-collar job. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at an asphalt manufacturing plant for 13 years. Britt may have had his fill of Hollywood, but Hollywood had not had its fill fo Britt. So in 2008, Jason Hawes invited Britt to assist in a case they were stuck on.
Britt and Jason met during their early years, at a time when Jason was starting as a ghost hunter. Over the years, Britt and Jason shared their findings and kept in constant communication with each other. So when Jason got stuck on a case, he invited Britt to help him out. Even though Britt joined as a guest investigator in 2008 he ended up staying until 2010, when he was fired for the first time.
In 2010, Britt was released from his contract for making several controversial statements.
“You get on the east coast, the west coast and they’re all anti-gun p**** faggots. I no longer investigate unarmed. I’m very blue-collar, I’m R-rated, if four-letter words offend you, you know how to turn the sound off. The public is stupid, and you guys, if the public wants to go out and kill each other, then whatever, go for it. I got my guns, and uh…I’ll protect my own.”
The comments were directed at the anti-gun policy employed by Jason Hawes and the rest of the Ghost Hunters. Brett was welcomed back on the series but things never stayed the same. Reports started circulating that both Kris Williams and Ashley Troub were quitting the show and would never return as long as Britt was around.
His second stint with the Hunters lasted for three years and Britt left the show in 2014. He revealed the news via Facebook. The caption read,
“A bunch of you are asking me if I too am leaving #GhostHunters just like Amy and Adam. The short answer is; Yes…
It was an honor to work for Craig, Mike, and Ita at Pilgrim Films and I wish them and SyFy nothing but success.”
After Ghost Hunters:
Since his exit from Ghost Hunters, Britt has worked in several C rated movies. He also gives lectures on the paranormal but is not involved in the investigation. Over the years, Britt has also worked with Dyslexia foundations to bring awareness to this learning disability.
