Problems with weight:

Believe it or not, Bobbie has not always looked this good. Back when he was just starting, Bobbie often struggled with his weight. One of Bobby’s early girlfriends was the daughter of a chef. The pair loved eating out and drinking beer. As a result, Bobby kept on putting on weight. While Bobby did not mind, for the most part, things changed when he realized that his weight was impacting his job as a fireman. After all, a fireman needs to be prepared in all situations, and should there come a time Bobby couldn’t work properly due to his weight, the lives of his colleagues would be at risk. So, Bobby decided to shed the extra weight and get back in shape.

Professional Career:

After graduating from high school, Bobby started working at the Cocoa Beach, Florida fire department and stayed on the job for several years. A trained EMT, Bobby taught marine firefighting for a while in Florida before starring on Below Deck.
Bobby joined the series for the first season and worked as a deckhand. During his time onboard, Bobby had a huge crush on the second stew, Julia d’Albert Pusey. But with Julia turning down his advances, Bobby shared a chummy relationship with bosun Bryan Kattenburg.
Back in season 2, Bryan was left disappointed after then bosun, Wes Walton chose Malia to be the lead deckhand over him.

Life after Below Deck:

Even though Bobby has left Below Deck, he is still working as a yachtie. During his time on the series, Bobby was in a transitioning phase into a full-time yachtie. But not only did he make that move, but he is also a captain. After his time on the show, Bobby worked hard to earned a captain’s license and served as a captain on a few charters. Bobby wrote to his fans on Instagram talking about the whole process.
