Born to Lynn and Mike Crawford, Amy comes from a family of athletes, and all three of her siblings, Brandon Crawford, Jenna Crawford, and Kaitlin Crawford played baseball in some way or form. The family moved to Pleasanton when Amy was young and the siblings spent most of their early life there. As for her academics, Amy attended Foothill High School and was a regular part of the mixed baseball and girls’ softball teams. As for her personal life, Amy Crawford is happily married to Gerrit Cole and the pair have been together since their college days. The pair met at UCLA and shared a weight room. And while Gerrit was smitten with Amy right from the start, it took Amy an entire year to take up the first date option. Talking to Inside Weddings, Amy revealed,
“I was moving into my new apartment and Gerrit drove an hour and a half after a wedding just to help me move. My mom was there with me and he showed up with a bouquet of flowers for her birthday. That’s the day I decided to take him up on that first-date offer from the year prior.”
