Even though the age gap in marriage is nothing new in Hollywood, fans were left bewildered after the American actor, comedian, singer, producer, director, and writer Kelsey Grammer tied the knot with, then flight attendant, Kayte Grammer. Considering how it was Kelsey’s fourth marriage and Kayte was 26 years younger than him, many wondered if it was just a bad move on Kelsey’s part. But nothing could be farther than the truth. The 65-year old’s fourth marriage to Kayte Grammer proved to be just the right thing he needed. Even though the pair began their relationship while Kelsey was still married to Camille Donatacci, the pair have moved on from their early guilt and are enjoying a happy life together. In this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of Kayte Grammer.
Kayte Walsh was born on the 7th of January, 1969, in Hartlepool, England. Born to renowned footballer Alan Walsh and his wife Susan Walsh, Kayte spent most of her early life alongside her sisters, Phil and Sophie. Even though Kayte was interested in being a model at a very young age, she decided to change her ambitions at the last second and wanted to make it out as a stewardess. Following her graduation in 1997, Kayte started working towards her certification and subsequently launched her career as an air hostess.
Not much is known about Kayte’s life before her relationship with Kelsey Grammer. She worked as an air hostess for a number of years before deciding to quit the profession at 30 years of age.
Since her marriage to Grammer in 2011, Kayte has appeared in a number of projects in Hollywood. Her first work was in 2006 when Kayte took up the mantle of Cinematographer for the short movie, Overjoyed. She continued her work on the creative side of things and was credited for her role in the Editorial Department for the movie, Pay It Off (2009). Kayte has also taken a number of jobs in the Camera and Electrical Department and has been credited for her work in Tabatha Takes Over (2008- 2013), Game Show in My Head (2009), and Motocross Zombies from Hell (2007). Her only acting credit came in the TV series, Boss, which she was part of from 2011 to 2012.
She is also credited as the producer for Betty White’s Off Their Rockers (2012), WhyUGotDumped, both producer and writer, (2012), and Relationshit (2011).
Kayte Walsh is happily married to Kelsey Grammer and the pair have been together since 2010. While the pair tied the knot in 2011, Kayte and Kelsey were together before Kelsey’s divorce from Camille Grammer. Talking on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Kayte revealed that she was not happy with the way they started the relationship. And while Kayte feels responsible for ending the star actor’s 13-year marriage, Kelsey feels that the relationship was always destined to fail.
“She always wanted to be famous. And was angry that she had given up so much to be with me,” adding that she had given up her chance at finding fame.”
On August 12, 2010, Kelsey announced that he was becoming a father for the fifth time with Kayte, but Kayte had a miscarriage. The pair got engaged in December 2010 and tied the knot at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on February 25, 2011. As of 2020, the pair have three children, a daughter, Faith Evangeline Elisa Grammer born July 2012, and two sons, born July 2014 Kelsey Gabriel Elias Grammer, and Auden James Ellis Grammer born November 2016.
