Todd Chrisley was born on April 6, 1969, to Gene Raymond Chrisley and Faye Chrisley. Born and raised in Georgia, Todd spent much of his early life with his brothers Derrick Chrisley and Randy Chrisley. In 2019, Todd, Julie, and their accountant, Peter Tarantino, were charged by Georgia Northern District for bank and wire fraud, conspiracy to defraud, and tax evasion. According to prosecutors claim, Todd defrauded the bank to get Millions in loans. In June 2022, Todd and Julie were found guilty of the charges. However, the couple filed a joint motion for a new trial, claiming a witness lied during their spring trial.

Former Georgia Department of Revenue investigator Amy Doherty-Heinze has filed a lawsuit against Todd for the second time. The first was back in June 2021 saying he accused “her of a multitude of crimes and wrongdoing” on his social media sites and podcast while she was investigating him four years prior. Todd has not retracted or settled the first defamation suit and found himself in more defamation lawsuits. Amy Doherty-Heinze followed with a second defamation lawsuit in September 2022 for continuing to spread lies against her.

In a Chrisley Confession podcast aired in September 2021, Doherty-Heinze claimed she Todd “maliciously” accused her of breaking laws during the investigation, mentioning her twice by name, calling for her to be prosecuted, and making her out to be corrupt and dishonest.
