Servando Carrasco was born on the 13th of August 1988, in Coronado, California. Born in California, Carrasco spent most of his early life in Tijuana, Mexico, and went to St. Augustine High School in San Diego, California. Up until he was 19 years of age, Carrasco played for his high school and San Diego Surf Soccer Club, which is often considered to be one of the most competitive soccer clubs in California. During his younger years, Carrasco was recognized as Western League Player of the Year, CIF Player of the Year, and the San Diego Union-Tribune All-County Player of the Year.  At the same time, Carrasco was also invited to join the Olympic Development Program and the Premier Development Program.

From College to Professional:

Following his high school graduation in 2007, Carrasco joined the University of California, Berkeley, under a sports scholarship. Following his first season, where he recorded seven points on two goals and three assists, Carrasco made it to the All-Pac-10 second team and Pac-10 All-Academic second team for 2008. In his final years, Carrasco co-captained the team and was named  NSCAA Third Team Far West Region, First Team All-Pac-10, Third Team Pac-10 All-American, and Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.

Fresh out of college, Carrasco was drafted on January 13, 2011, by Seattle Sounders FC. He stayed with the team for two years from 2011 to 2013 and had a single goal. He was traded to Huston Dynamo from 2013 to 2014 where he had 19 apps. After representing Sporting Kansas City in 2015, Carrasco moved to Orlando City for two years up until 2017. He then entered the 2017 MLS Re-Entry Draft and was drafted by LA Galaxy. After playing for them for a single season, Carrasco joined Fort Lauderdale CF in USL League One.

“If she wants to talk about, we’ll talk about it. If I want to talk about it, we’ll talk about it. But soccer’s such a huge part of our life, and when we’re off the field, we’re normal people. We have hobbies. We do stuff. It’s almost because her life is encapsulated by soccer, and mine is, too, that sometimes we don’t even talk about soccer.
