A happy married life:
Rebecca Olson married Dr. Sanjay Gupta on the 15th of May 2004. The wedding took place according to Hindu rituals and took place in Rebecca’s home state of Michigan. Married in their mid-thirties, the pair are now proud parents to 3 children, Sage Ayla Gupta, Soleil Asha Gupta, and Sky Anjahi Gupta. Even though bits and snippets on the couple’s personal life have been kept private, Dr. Gupta revealed how he proposed to his wife. He went on record to say that he had written a poem for her and asked her to marry him on the last line. Nervous and excited, Sanjay couldn’t wait for Rebecca to finish the poem and got down on one knee even before she reached the last line.
A rock for her family:
Time and again, Sanjay has gone on record to say how his wife helped him to establish his career. The mother of his children, Rebecca took care of all the odd jobs in and around the house to make sure Sanjay could devote all his time to his work. At a time when Dr. Gupta was having a hard time working in front of a camera, Rebecca advised him to think of the camera as a patient which needs to be treated. The trick worked and several Emmys later we are sure that Sanjay is glad his wife shared it with him.
