She assumed her post in 1986 and was mentored by the late Johnny Holmes and Charles “Chuck” Rosenthal, during her early years. Their tenacity translated well onto Kelly, who went on to become one of the most feared prosecutors in the county.
In her career, Kelly has worked on around 200 jury trials and has maintained a high success rate.
