I would like to send Scott Miller, DVM, a short message. My husband and I volunteered for the Marine Mammal Rescue. The dates probably do not overlap but we drove marine mammals needing veterinary attention from Moss Landing, CA to San Jose, CA where we met volunteers from the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA who took the animals to the veterinary center in Sausalito, CA. So in a small way we were working on the same project to help marine mammals on the coast.
