From a professional tennis player to a comedian, Hannah Berner had quite the career revelation. The reality star is one of the up and coming names in comedy and is looking to blaze her way into the world of stand-ups. An advocate for mental health, Hannah is also a podcast host. She hosts the podcast, Berning in Hell, where she interviews her guests about their insecurities, anxieties, and mental health. While Hannah follows a strict schedule and rarely gets some time off, she is ready to let her hair down in an all-new season of Summer House.
Hannah Berner was born on the 12th of August, 1991, in Brooklyn, New York. Born in New York, Hannah spent much of her early life in Shelter Island. Little is known about Hannah’s parents and siblings, and the reality star is not to keen on disclosing personal details. While Hannah never talks about her parents, she did say that her motto “one should not ask for a lighter burden but the broader shoulders”, was something she received from her father.
After graduating from the Poly Prep Country Day School and The Beacon School, Hannah enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Hannah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communication Arts and Rhetoric and Certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies. She was into sports from a young age and played tennis at the national level throughout University.
Little is known about Hannah’s professional career outside of Summer House and the Burning Hell Podcast. One of the newer members on the block, Hannah joined the cast in 2019 and has since gone on to be a fan-favorite.
Stand-up on the side:
While Hannah primarily works as a podcast host and spent a brief time in reality TV, she loves stand-up comedy and wants to work as a full-time comedian. Hannah came to the comedy scene by directing, editing, and acting in videos on Instagram and writing viral tweets. Since then, Hannah has been performing in NYC clubs while trying to land her very own Netflix Special. Talking about her love for stand-up Hannah revealed,
“I did 10 minutes of stand-up and I really fell in love with it. Then I got up to 20 minutes, and now I’m at around 50 minutes,” she says. “The reality show isn’t my creative outlet, and I need a creative outlet. Stand-up has been that for me. I realized that I love being in front of an audience and I also love to write.”
Hannah’s love life is quite complicated. Even though she fell in love with Luke Gulbranson in the newest season of Summer House, Luke revealed that he had been seeing other girls while still seeing Hannah. While this shocked Hannah, she mentioned that her love life was beyond the series and that she had a chat with Luke about the miscommunication. Talking about her dating life, Hannah revealed that even if she had a big fight with Luke, she finds herself attracted to him,
“At the end of that night, we were sitting next to each other, eating pizza. We just gravitate towards each other and I think my thing is figuring out: Who is this guy in my life? Because I think you have a lot of loves in your life, and you have to decide, is he marriage material, is he boy toy material, is he friend material?”
