Dr. Jacqueline Walters has been fighting the good fight for most of her life. She first fought through breast cancer herself and is now helping women around the world fight their battles against cancer. A part of the reality TV series Married to Medicine, Jacqueline is considered to be the most successful doctor on the show. Jacqueline has been on the set since the first season and is still going strong. The series aired its first episode on the 24th of March 2013 and closed the seventh season on the 5th of January,2020. Early Life:

Dr. Jacqueline Walters was born on the 27th of July 1958 in Port Gibson, Mississippi. Jacqueline has been into medicine from a young age and always wanted to be a doctor. After graduating high school, Jacqueline enrolled at the Mississippi State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science. She went onto work for another bachelor’s degree in Science, this time from the Alcorn State University. She continued her higher education and received her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in 1997.

Medical Practice:

After finishing her residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Jacqueline opted for private practice. She was also directly associated with the Northside Hospital in Atlanta and worked part-time. Her most recent endeavor saw Jacqueline work for a private practice in Atlanta known as Comprehensive Women’s OBGYN. During her time there, Jacquline was tasked with Gynecological and Obstetrical exams. She also looks after birth control options and infertility counseling.

A survivor:

For all of Jacqueline’s characters, the most notable is her fighting spirit. Back in 2004, Jacqueline had been diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a mastectomy surgery later and things seemed normal until 2008 when she was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. So, Jacqueline had to undergo double mastectomy surgery in a span of four years. After understanding the perils of breast cancer first hand, Jacqueline decided to establish an organization dedicated to the survivors. The 50 shades of Pink Foundation was established in 2013 and focuses on the inner and outer beauty of women who are breast cancer survivors, and creates a positive environment where survivors can recover. Over the years, Jacqueline also established a support group for women who were newly diagnosed with breast cancer.

Jacqueline also promotes a healthy lifestyle and is big on eating healthy. She has also launched ‘Fit is the New It’ campaign and is dedicated to helping people take the necessary steps to form a healthier lifestyle.

Personal Life:

Dr. Jacqueline Walters is a married woman. She has been longtime married to the former pro-basketball player, Curtis Berry. The pair got married in 2002 and have been together since. The pair do not have any children, but Kurtis has a daughter from his previous marriage, Kursten. And while Jacqueline is a happily married woman, she did have her fair share of problems. Some time back, Curtis was seen with a mystery lady, and rumors surfaced that he was cheating on Jacqueline. Even though Jacqueline filed for a divorce later, she withdrew her claims and gave Curtis a second chance. There has been no news of turbulence in the pair’s marriage ever since.
