Deirdre Bolton was born on the 21st of September 1971, in Newton, Pennsylvania. Bolton spent much of her early life in Pennsylvania and attended the Council Rock High School in Bucks County. Done with her early years of schooling, Bolton attended the University of Iowa. After graduating with a degree in English and French literature, Bolton set her eyes to New York University. In 2003, Bolton graduated from New York University and set her sights towards the professional world.
Deirdre began her professional career at the Societe Generale where she sold European based equities to portfolio managers. After a couple of years, she took up a job on CDC North America. Having worked for banks all her life, Deirdre wanted to try something new. Attracted by the prospect of TV, Deirdre began working for Bloomberg Television. During her time there, she worked for a TV series entitled Money Moves.
Enjoying a five-year stay at the Bloomberg Television, Deidre left the TV network. It wasn’t hard for her to find a new job and was soon associated with the FOX network. She started working for a new show by the name of Risk and Rewards. In addition to working as a business correspondent for the FOX network, Deidre worked on Women and Money. The series focused on women entrepreneurs and helped to bring their struggles and success to light.
