What happened to David Packouz? His wiki/bio, wife, daughter, net worth.

As fans saw the incredible adventures of Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, they couldn’t help but wonder about the real-life characters. The movie War Dogs took inspiration from the real-life happenings of David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli. Working on military contracts under the Pentagon, both Packouz and Diveroli were in their early twenties when they carried out some of the largest military contracts. In this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of David Packouz. Also, we will break down the identity of the woman who gave birth to his one and only child. Is David Packouz married ever?

Former Arms dealer David Packouz

Early Life:

David Packouz was born on February 16, 1982, in  St. Louis, Missouri, United States. He is the son of Shoshana Packouz and Rabbi Kalman Packouz. Born and raised in a Jewish household, David’s father Kalaman was also the author of the book “How to Prevent an Intermarriage.” One of the nine Packouz children, David met Efraim during high school, and the pair formed a relationship that gave life to one of the largest gun-running operations in the United States.

Meeting Efraim and getting into business:

Packouz and Diveroli met at Beth Israel Congregation, the largest Orthodox synagogue in Miami Beach. After college, the pair would hang out by the beach with their guitar and smoke pot. Packouz’s parents were concerned about his pot addiction and sent him to a high school in Israel that specialized in the treatment. Packouz joined the University of Florida following his time in Israel. After realizing he could earn more cash by working as a masseuse, Packouz studied at the Educating Hands School of Massage to earn his license as a massage therapist.

While Packouz came from a traditional Jewish family, Diveroli came from a family of arms dealers. His father brokered Kevlar jackets and other weapons-related paraphernalia to local police forces, and his uncle B.K. sold Glocks, Colts, and Sig Sauers to law enforcement. Diveroli in need of a business partner in arms dealing introduced Packouz to AEY Inc. in 2005.

Running the world:

Even though Packouz was only 23, he had realized he was playing out of his depth with Diveroli. The two started to grow with successful deals, and by the end of 2006, they had won 149 contracts worth around $10.5 million. The pair struck gold in 2006, securing a $300 million United States government contract to supply the Afghan Army with 100 million rounds of AK-47 ammunition, millions of rounds of SVD Dragunov sniper rifles, and aviation rockets. Packouz and Diveroli succeeded in delivering the weapons to the Afghan army, except they were Chinese. This was just the beginning of their downfall. Over the years, turbulence grew between the pair, eventually leading to a split of partnership. In January 2011, Packouz and Diveroli pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States under the general conspiracy statute, 18 U.S.C. § 371. Diveroli had the more severe punishment of two, and was sentenced to four years in federal prison while Packouz got seven months of house arrest.

Life After:

Packouz currently resides in Miami, Florida with his daughter and parents. After his release from jail, Packouz turned to entrepreneurship. He started a music technology company Singular Sound and currently serves as the CEO. He invented the guitar pedal drum machine, the BeatBuddy. Packouz’s record following the high-profile case is not entirely clear as he was on the receiving end of legal troubles. In 2012, Packouz was arrested in Florida after allegedly agreeing to have sex with an undercover Collier County deputy for $400.

Personal Life:

Wife & Kids:

The information on Packouz’s personal life & affairs is in bits and pieces. If we take some hints from the movie “War Dogs,” a loose adaptation on his life, American actor Miles Teller plays real-life David Packouz. In the movie, Miles falls in love with a character name Iz played by Ana de Armas and she gets pregnant with his child. Like in the movie, Packouz is the father of a child in real life. His first and only daughter Amabelle Jane Packouz was born in 2007. However, the name of the mother has not come forth in the media. So who is the person he had his only child with? We will try to break it down.

David Packouz has a self-titled Youtube channel with 1000 subscribers where he has shown his singing side. Dedicating to his toddler daughter, he wrote and sang “More than anything,” published on December 17, 2008. While his love for Amabella is evident through the lyrics, the video consists of clips from his personal life. The video shows the mother of his child who is of African descent, pregnant with Amabelle Jane Packouz. She is also there to raise the toddler baby. If we connect the dot to the movie “War Dogs,” turns out the woman in the video is Iz, David Packouz’s ex-girlfriend. David and Iz are not married, and at some point, the pair went separate ways.

Moving on, marriage?:

After separating from each other, Iz has lived a very secretive life and never once tried to pounce on the fame of her ex. As for Packouz, he has left a shady past as an arms dealer and earns honorable money as an entrepreneur. Packouz is CEO of singular sound which he founded in 2011. The real-life War Dog, Packouz is available on Facebook and Instagram and often posts his life happening to his followers. According to his Facebook relationship status, David Packouz is currently single. To our best knowledge, David came closest to marriage during his relationship with his ex-girlfriend (Iz) but for some reason, the pair had to break up and go separate ways.

Death of his father:

His father Rabbi Kalman Packouz passed away at the age of 69 on November 15, 2019, after a long battle with cancer. Born on May 15, 1950, Rabbi worked for a Life Insurance company for many years. At some point, he left selling Insurance policies and turned to real estate and made significant earnings. Rabbi traveled around the world with his grandmother for nearly a decade.
