Nobody can quite wrap their head around the drama that goes on in the Kardashian and Jenner family. From Khole’s controversy with Tristan to Kylie’s bizarre rules for her baby sitter, the Kardashian family is quite strange. However, at the head of all the drama is Kim Kardashian. Undoubtedly the most famous of the Kardashian’s, Kim has been involved in a shit ton of drama down the years. From her alleged sex-tapes to the use of Extacy and her marriage, everything surrounding Kim is not safe from drama. While Kim’s personal life has settled down since her marriage to Kanye West, things were quite problematic before. Even before her high-profile marriage to Kris Humphries which lasted a total of 72 days, Kim was married to Damon Thomas, and it is safe to say that it did not end well.
Damon Thomas was born on the 15th of December, 1970 in Calabasas, California. Born and raised in California, Damon shares an African-American descent. Little is known about Damon’s early life as he never openly mentioned his parents or siblings. His education is a mystery as well, while it might be safe to assume he did finish high school.
Damon is an award-winning music writer, producer, and rapper. For the majority of his career, Damon worked with Harvey Mason Jr. and the pair formed an American R&B/pop production duo, The Underdogs. The duo began working together in 1999 and their first major production was Tyrese’s single “I Like Them Girls.” Since then, Damon and Harvey have worked with several hit artists including, Lionel Richie, Omarion, J. Relationship With Kim:
Kim and Damon met during Kim’s teenage years and tied the knot in 2000. Kim was just 19 years old at the time and eloped with Damon. The marriage lasted for a mere four years and the pair got divorced by 2004. Speaking about her decision, Kim revealed that she had been high on ecstasy during the marriage and barely knew what she was getting into.
By the first year of their marriage, Kim already regretted her decision as Damon was controlling, abusive, and physically assaulted Kim. In one of the episodes of Keeping up With the Kardashians, Kim revealed that Damon was very much the king of the hill and did not allow Kim to go shopping on her own.
“Damon decided what we would do and when we would do it. He was very much the ‘king of the castle. He said he did not want me to have contact with my old boyfriends who would be able to reach me at the clothing store,”
Kim also revealed that Damon was the one who got her into plastic surgeries and even paid from them. He always wanted to keep tabs on her and Kim had to ask permission to even leave the house.
“Damon told me not to leave the house unless I first told him when and where I was going. If Damon were not home, I was required to call him and ask permission to leave the house. For example, he would not allow me to go to the mall alone, or with friends. He told me that he did not want men to have an opportunity to ‘hit’ on me.”
Damon was also abusive and physically assaulted Kim. She reported instances of him slamming her against the wall, even after the pair’s divorce.
On the other end, Damon doesn’t have nice things to say about Kim. He believes that she is a glory hunter and lives for fame.
“She can’t write or sing or dance, so she does harmful things in order to validate herself in the media. That’s a fame-whore to me. It’s just not cool at all.”
Following the divorce, Damon married Sarai Torres and had a son, Dimas Thomas. However, Sarai filed a case against Damon who did not pay for child support.
Damon filed for bankruptcy in 2012 but was declared free of his status in 2019.
