On paper, Summer House seems to be your everyday generic reality TV show. In terms of context, the series has nothing new to offer. A group of nine young adults, living together at a summer house to celebrate America’s unofficial summer season. Acting and Career struggle
While Carl never thought of pursuing acting as a serious career, he did have brief stints here and there. One of his recognized roles came in 2007 where he played a short role in the movie, What Perez Sez. Carl took an infinite hiatus from acting to focus on his studies and career, before coming back with Date Night with Connie and Chrissy in 2017. He also made a short appearance with Vanderpump Rules in 2017 and was selected to star in summer wars the same year. Carl was also cast in Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in the same year and has appeared in a total of four episodes. One the other end of the creative table, Carl has been credited for production in Grace Note (2016), and Silo: Edge of the real world (2017). Apart from his time as an actor and producer, Carl has also worked normal office jobs. From 2013 to 2017, Carl served as the Territory Manager in Danaher Corporation. After 4 years at Danaher Corporation, Carl worked as an Orthodontic Specialist Consultant in Glo Science Professional. He later made the move to Yotpo as an Account executive and stayed for a year. Since July of 2019, Carl has been working in Sales Business Development in Lover boy Inc.
He has an estimated net worth of $1 million. His wealth comes from his appearances in shows like ‘Summer House’ and ‘Bumbld’, his executive production of films like ‘Grace Note’ and ‘Silo: Edge of the Real World’, and his sales roles at Spotfund Technologies and Loverboy Inc.
While little is known about Carl’s relationships before coming to the show, he dated his first roommate, Lauren Wirkus. While the pair dated for a while, things did not go well and resulted in a nasty break-up. Talking about his relationship, Carl lamented,
“How I handled myself in dating her and not dating her, I definitely regret a little bit of how I behaved. I chalk that up to a lot of just immaturity on my end. Also, I think, just my communication skills with her, I struggled really to be honest with how I felt.”
One of the major problems with Carl during his time in the Summer House was his behavior when intoxicated. After his nasty split from Lauren, Carl chose to stay sober and sought a therapist to help him through the journey. Talking about his experience, Carl revealed,
“I’ve done therapy over the past six years and I never once, up until this past, you know, January, said I drink a ton. I’ve done drugs. I’ve partied. And it was liberating actually opening up with this therapist who focuses more on alcohol and just being completely honest.”
