Following her high school graduation, Riesgraf made the decision to dive into show business. Unlike most prominent actors, Riesgraf took the plunge straight to the TV and had no prior theatre background. She made her debut in 2001 with the role of a waitress in the TV series, Spin City. She was also cast in Undressed the same year, which also brought her a debut movie appearance. In 2002, Riesgraf was picked to portray the role of Krissy in the movie Scorcher. TV roles died down for Riesgraf during the early years of 2000 and she began focusing on movies. Save from a 2003 appearance in I Love Your Work, Riesgraf hadn’t had much to lead on with.

Her other movie appearances include roles in Nobody (2009), Intruders (2015), In Search of Fellini (2017), and most recently on I Hate Kids (2019).

The series ran for four years until 2012 and catapulted Riesgraf into the list of A-list TV actors.
