The standard rules of marriage don’t apply to Hollywood. It’s nothing new to see actors call things off after three, four, decades of marriage. But for Amanda Anka and Jason Bateman, nothing could be farther than the truth. The pair have known each other since they were 18 years old. At present, both Anka and Bateman are in their fifties, and to say that their relationship has lasted a lifetime would not be too far off from the truth. But despite the success of both Anka and Bateman, fame has found Bateman more than it has found Anka. As a result, not much is known about her. So, for this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of Amanda Anka.
Amanda Katherine Anka was born on the 10th of December 1968, in New York City. The second child of Paul Anka and Anne de Zogheb, Anka is no stranger to fame. Anka’s parents divorced in 2001 and while her father remarried, her mother never did and passed away in 2017.
Born and raised in a joint family, Anka has four sisters, Alexandra, Alicia, Anthea, and Amelia. After graduating from a local high school, Anke never went to college and decided to try her hand in acting.
Interested in acting from a very young age, Anke made her debut appearance in 1991 in the Sci-Fi comedy, Frankenstein: The College Years. The next year, Anka was seen in Buffy the Vampire slayer and was also cast in The Last Job (1993) and Cityscrapes: Los Angeles (1994), in the subsequent years. Amanda Anka is happily married to Jason Bateman and the pair have known each other for quite a while. The pair first met in high school when they were both in their teens. They dated for quite a while before getting engaged in 2000 and tying the knot on the 3rd of July 2001. The pair had their first child, Francesca Nora Bateman, on 28 October 2006, and their second, Maple Sylvie Bateman, on 10 February 2012.
Over the years, Bateman has been open in praising Anka for her help in helping him reach the fame he finds himself in.
“My wife keeps me really grounded by doing nothing other than just being her. She’s got a full-time career herself, and she’s able to be an incredible mom, and she’s also almost a full-time dad too because I’m out of town so much. I’m floored by that. That keeps me grounded. That reminds me that I’ve got a real strong example to kind of live up to what she’s showing. That keeps me from taking any of this for granted or just doing it half-assed.”
In 2017, Anka accused Andre Balazs’ of a groping incident that happened in 2014. The incident happened at a dinner party organized by Balazs’. As Amanda was taking the stairs, Balazs’ allegedly put his hand under her skirt and groped her. Amanda immediately told about the incident to her husband and Jason spit the gum at Balazs’ face and the duo left the party. Several women came forward after Anka’s statements and accused Balazs’ of a similar incident.
