Early Life & Education

Tabitha Lipkin was born on the 4th of April 1990 in Austin, Texas. A Texan native, Tabitha has revealed very little about her early life. Details about her parents and siblings have never come to light. During her years in high school, Tabitha became heavily involved with Camp Texas and Texas Student TV. After graduating high school, Tabitha enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin in 2008.  She graduated in 2012, with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her time at the University, Tabitha also took her first-ever scuba diving course. She also joined the Salzburg Academy in 2011 obtaining BJsought.

Professional Career:

Tabitha has enjoyed a diverse and colorful career. As she puts it, “I’ve worked pretty much every job you can imagine. I’ve been a Real Estate Agent, Bartender, Zipline Tour Guide, Production Coordinator, and in college, I actually used to sell meat door to door out of a truck.”

After graduating from college, Tabitha interned with “Colbert Report” on Comedy Central and “Conan” on TBS in 2012. While her work was mostly backstage, Tabitha soon moved in front of the camera. In July of 2013, Tabitha took over the role of writer and social media director for Cruising Outpost. She stayed on the post for a year before making the switch to Fox Sports in October 2014. Even though Tabitha was first hired as a freelance reporter, she quickly climbed the ranks and headlined her very own show, Keeping Tabs with Tabitha Lipkin(2016). At the same time, from September 2015 – January 2016, Tabitha hosted and produced 30-minute travel programs for AWE TV. She also worked as an evening anchor at One America Network covering national and international news as well as politics from 2015-2017.

Things changed for Tabitha who became the weather anchor and reporter for Fox 5 San Diego in March 2017 and stayed with the network until May 2020. She then joined NBC LX as a national news host. NBC LX is a new network that aims to reimagine the world’s approach to news and storytelling. Tabitha also performed as social media director for Latitudes & Attitudes, a magazine about the sailing and travel lifestyle. She left both jobs in 2022 and works as Media Consultant in San José, Costa Rica starting in October 2022.
