When Suzi Slay and her husband Cody Slay made an appearance in Texas Flip N Move, fans couldn’t help falling in love with the pair. Early Life:

Suzi Christine Slay was born on the 26th of February 1986, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born to Norman and Cindy, Suzi spent much of her early life in Fort Worth alongside her older sister, Staci. Suzi gets her passion for renovation from her parents, who were fanatics of classic muscle cars. Her father owned a ’65 Impala SS and a ’71 Silver El Camino, which he loved to tweak during weekends. Her mother, on the other hand, owned and operated a business entitled, Crosses From My Heart, where she sold custom-decorated crosses.

A brush-up with the law

Long before Suzi was brushing up old houses, she was brushing shoulders with the law. Court papers dating back to 2003 show that Suzy was arrested on the 25th of April, 2003, for drug abuse. The court papers read,

“[Suzi] did then and there intentionally and knowingly possess a controlled substance, namely hydrocodone of less than twenty-eight grams, including any adulterants and diluents.”

Suzi pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 12 months of community supervision and was ordered to pay $700.50 in fines. 

Professional Career

Following her early education, Suzi began flipping houses with her husband, Cody Slay. In 2014, Suzy and Cody were cast announced as the original cast members of the reality TV series, Texas Flip N Move. The pair made quite an impact on the first season of the show but departed following the third season. 

Fans were shocked when Suzi and Cody were not announced in the line-up for the fourth season. While the network never came up with a reason as to why the pair were gone from the series, Cody responded to a Twitter claim mentioning that there were creative differences. When asked to elaborate, Cody revealed, “It…means we cannot agree on behind-the-scenes stuff so we had to agree to disagree.”

No more flipping houses

Following the pair’s departure from Texas Flip N Move, Cody and Suzi have not returned to television work. They also left behind flipping houses and are currently involved in a business of their own.
