Captain Sean Dwyer wiki/bio, age, net worth, wife, kids, facts.

Unlike most of the captains featured on Deadliest Catch who are more often than not rage monsters, Captain Sean Dwyer is a mellow sort of fellow. On the helm of fishing vessel Brenna A, Sean is calm and calculating but underneath his calm demeanor, Sean can also be calculating and manipulative. As shown in more than one instance, Shawn is loyal and trustworthy, but he won’t hesitate to pull the rug from under your feet. In this article, we take a closer look at the Wiki bio of Captain Sean Dwyer.

Sean Dwyer was born on March 8, 1992, in Washington, United States. He is the son of  Jenny Gore Dwyer and Pat Dwyer. He grew up in Kenmore, Washington. Sean was interested in fishing from a young age and it became easy for him to follow his passion since he came from a family of fishermen. He would join his father abroad on the commercial fishing vessel Jennifer A as early as the age of 13. His early experience includes fishing Salmon in Southeast Alaska.  Sean attended Inglemoor Senior High School in Kenmore Washington and graduated high school in 2010. He then enrolled at the South Seattle Community College where he studied Heavy equipment and Diesel Technology.

Professional Career:

For Sean whose only interest in life was fishing, there was no other career choice than commercial fishing. After finishing his degree, he joined his father’s ship “Jennifer A” and began working as an engineer. He spent three years side by side with his father. In 2005, his father Pat was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which limited the movement of neuron muscles.  Following Pat’s diagnosis, the family business acquired the fishing vessel Shishaldin, later named the F/V Brenna A after his daughter, Brenna Adele. Pat passed away from the disease on the 4th of June 2014 with a dying wish to see the see Jennifer A & Brenna A, back to the crabbing grounds.

Deadliest Catch

At the age of 21, Sean was the youngest guy on the ship but had years of experience behind him. He began his journey during the Salmon fishing season. On the helm, Sean did justice to his crew who had little fishing experience. Sean referred to his crew as The Lost Boys and was respected by his crew. After all, only a few of them had fishing experience and Sean managed to turn his ragged crew into a well-oiled machine.

He joined Deadliest Catch in season 12 as the captain of F/V Brenna A, a boat that belonged to his late father, Pat Dwyer.  Sean was the youngest captain on the show at the time, and he faced many difficulties and dangers as he tried to fulfill his father’s legacy and quota. He also had to deal with his mother’s rare cancer diagnosis and his crew’s loyalty issues. He appeared on the show for four seasons until season 15, when he and his crew did not return. According to his mother, Jennifer, their contract with Discovery had expired and they decided to part ways amicably. She also thanked the producers and fans for their support.
