Early Life

Paul D. DelVecchio Jr. was born on the 5th of July 1980 in Providence, Rhode Island. Born to Italian parents Paul D. DelVecchio Sr. and Donna DiCarlo, Pauly is a second-generation American. Raised alongside his sister Vanessa, Pauly spent much of his early life in Rhode Island. He loved music and was a regular performer at local clubs. 

Professional Career

Pauly began his professional life as a DJ when he was just 16 years of age. He assumed the DJ title after being impressed by DJ AM. In 2009, Pauly was chosen to be a part of the Jersey Shore series. He revealed in an interview that he never really auditioned for the part. The producers gave Pauly a call and wanted to film a day in his life. Six months later Pauly was called to star in the reality series. Pauly claimed in an interview that he was in the series only for his looks.
