Meghan Hauserman is a familiar face to the regular viewers of the VH1 network. The reality star cum model is one of the most recognized faces on the network. Megan Hauserman was born on the 5th of November 1981 in Boca Raton, Florida. Even though Meghan was born in Florida, her family later moved to Chicago where Meghan spent much of her childhood. Meghan joined the Olympic Heights Community High School before moving to the University of Illinois.
Meghan began her career early as she started working for Playboy publication. This was back in 2006 and for the most part, Meghan worked online. It was during her appearance in the publication that Meghan was named as the Playboy Cyber Girl of the Week. This brought attention to Meghan who was soon featured by Cybergirl Xtra. She was also featured by Bench Warmer International in one of its trading cards.
As was the order of things, Meghan was soon contacted by TV producers who wanted her in their reality shows. She made an appearance on the third season of Beauty and the Geek on the WB network. Meghan continued her modeling work in 2009 when she worked for the Guitar World magazine.
Megan’s career as a reality star took off once she made an appearance on the VH1 competition series, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. Even though Megan became fifth on the series, it opened a window of opportunity for her to work in future VH1 shows. In the years that followed, Megan made appearances in, I Love Money, Rock of Love: Charm School, The Great Debate, Sexiest Women of Reality TV Swimsuit Calendar Edition, and Badass. One of her most notable appearances came in the short-lived reality series, Megan Wants a Millionaire. The series first aired in 2009 but was dropped in the same year due to poor ratings and controversies.
Megan Hauserman is currently engaged to the professional golfer and business owner Derren Edward. There is very little information as to how and when the pair met. On the 4th of Septemeber 2014, Megan became a mother to a lovely baby boy, Derren William Garber.
Controversy surrounding Megan Wants A Millionaire:
In 2009, the reality series Megan Wants A Millionaire was just kicking off. After a couple of episodes, the series became mixed in a whirlwind of controversy. Ryan Jenkins who was one of the contestants of the show murdered the model, Jasmine Fiore. Even though Jenkins later committed suicide, the event hurt the series and was later dropped due to extremely poor ratings.
