Maria Victoria Henao was born in 1961 in Palmira Valle del Cauca, Colombia to her parents Carlos Henao Vallejo and Leonor Zuleta. She has two brothers Carlos Mario Henao Vallejo and Pastora Henao Bayen. Her older brother Carlos was a close friend also worked with Pablo Escobar who was smuggling in small-scale while building a network in the drug world. Maria met her husband, Pablo at the teenage years of 13 through her brother’s connection and soon had an affair with him. Henao’s family initially didn’t approve of the relationship because Pablo was from inferior family and the huge age difference between them.
