Kari Wuhrer was born on the 28th of April, 1967, in Brookfield, Connecticut. Born to Karin, a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and car salesman, Wuhrer comes from a large family and has three siblings. Wuhrer’s love for singing began from her early years and she would often sneak out of her family home to perform in nightclubs. At the age of 13, Wuhrer enrolled at the Wooster School, before moving on to study drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

Professional Career

Trained by the famed German-American actress and theatre practitioner, Uta Hagen, Wuhrer began her professional career with the 1986 film Fire with Fire. Wuhrer debuted on TV with her role in MTV’s Remote Control. While she stayed with the series for two seasons only, she made quite an impact on her audiences. Around the same time, Wuhrer doubled down as a VJ on MTV. In 1993, Wuhrere was handed a leading role in the TV series Class of ’96. An increasingly improving performance record saw Wuhrer play the part of Ariel Hunter in the long-running prime-time soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210. She was in the series for a single year from 1994 to 1995.
