Early Life

Emilia Bechrakis was born on the 3rd of July 1985 in Athens, Greece. Born in Greece, Emilia’s family later migrated to the USA and permanently settled there. After finishing high school, Emilia started working for a bachelor’s degree in law in London. She attended the University of Kent and achieved a degree in law. She continued her education and also obtained degrees from BPP – Leeds – Whitehall Centre and University College London. 

Professional Life

After graduating in law, she became a barrister with a concentration in maritime law. She worked as the head of the legal department at the second biggest Mediterranean shipping company in the world, before she shifted her focus to a career in land title insurance as a senior sales representative. She joked in 2016 that before she made the move to sales, nobody liked talking about her career when she went out to dinner.

She also became a television personality after marrying Ryan Serhant, a famous real estate agent and reality TV star. She appeared on the show Million Dollar Listing New York, its spin-off Million Dollar Listing New York: Ryan’s Wedding and Million Dollar Listing: Ryan’s Renovation. Her frequent television appearances brought Emilia a large number of fan-following on social media. The number continued to increase since her marriage to Ryan.
