Emer Gwynne Morganna Kenny was born on the 10th of October 1989, in Haringey, London. Born and raised in Haringey, not much is known about Kenny’s early life and the star has kept her silence. After discovering an early interest in acting, Kenny pursued acting professionally and made her Television debut in the 2007 BBC television drama Coming Down the Mountain. Her movie debut wasn’t too far either as she got her chance in Phil Claydon’s Lesbian Vampire Killers which aired in 2009.

Following her movie debut in 2009, Kenny took on the role of Kate in an improvisational BBC production, Freefall. In January of 2010, Kenny got her chance in the popular British soap opera show, Eastenders. She reprised the role of Zsa Zsa Carter in the EastEnders spin-off EastEnders: E20 and the main show as well. Eastenders proved a great opportunity for Kenny who was cast on the series, having already proved her worth as a writer. After screenwriting a few episodes for the original Eastenders, Kenny was announced as one of the first writers for the spin-off series, EastEnders: E20 in 2010. However, the following month it was revealed that Kenny’s character would be written from the series to allow Kenny to pursue further acting goals.

Screenwriting and more TV roles:

Following her exit from Eastenders, Kenny got selected as the youngest ever writer for the BBC Writers Academy, where she learned the art of screenwriting and learned to write on different series including EastEnders, Casualty, Holby City, and Doctors. In 2012, Kenny joined the cast of Beaver Falls but the series wrapped up in September 2012. Kenny also played the part of Danielle Reeves in the BBC Three dramedy Pramface in 2012. The series opened to an amazing reception and was renewed for three seasons up until 2014. Kenny is now actively working on both her work as an actor and screenwriter. She is currently working on the series Father Brown as an actor and also made a brief appearance in the 2020 TV series, The Duchess. On the screenwriting side of things, Kenny wrote a few episodes for Red Rock, Harlots, and most recently for Save Me.

Personal Life:

While Kenny is not the one to discuss her personal life in front of the camera, the star has been quite open about her relationships. She is happily married to television presenter Rick Edwards, and the pair have been together since 2016.
