Sulayman Chappelle

Sulayman Chappelle is the eldest son of the famous comedian and actor Dave Chappelle and his wife Elaine Chappelle. He was born in 2001 and is currently 23 years old. Sulayman is of African-American ethnicity and American nationality, with a part-Filipino ancestry from his mother’s side.

Sulayman grew up on a 65-acre farm in Yellow Springs, Ohio, where his family moved in 2006 to escape the pressures of Hollywood and the media. He was raised under the influence of Islam, as his father converted to the religion in 1998 and named him after the Arabic word for Solomon. Sulayman’s name means “peaceful” or “the one who judges rightly”.

Sulayman is a very private person who does not have a public social media presence or a career in the entertainment industry. He is reportedly pursuing boxing as his professional career.

Sulayman has also inherited his father’s talent for writing poetry, as Dave revealed in his 2019 Netflix special, Dave Chappelle: Equanimity & The Bird Revelation. Dave joked that he found Sulayman’s notebooks full of wonderful poetry in his room, along with some rolling papers that explained where the inspiration came from.

Sulayman Chappelle is a young man who has grown up under the shadow of his father’s fame and controversy, but has also learned from his father’s wisdom and humor. He is a person who values his privacy, his faith, and his family. He is a person who has a lot of potential and creativity to offer to the world.

Ibrahim Chappelle

Ibrahim is the second-born child of Dave and Elaine. Similar to his brother, Dave has not revealed where and when his son was born. The name of Ibrahim is also inspired by Islamic figures.  Ibrahim’s name means “father of God” and “father of nations” in Arabic, reflecting his father’s conversion to Islam before his birth. Dave often jokes about his children on-stage and likes to talk about them. In a skit, Dave revealed that Ibrahim had made a necklace for him out of macaroni. He also recounted the time when he went to see Kevin Hart’s show with his son.

Ibrahim is a student and also interested in sports, music, and movies. Ibrahim is very close to his family and respects his father’s decision to keep their personal lives away from the media spotlight. He admires his father’s talent and achievements as a stand-up comedian, actor, producer, and writer, but he has not yet decided what he wants to do in the future. He is open to exploring different possibilities and finding his own passion. Ibrahim is a kind, smart, and curious young man who has a lot to offer to the world.

Sonal Chappelle

Sonal is the youngest born and the only daughter of the Chappelle family. And it is safe to say that she has her parents wrapped around her fingers. Similar to her brothers, Sonal’s name means “work of art” in Arabic, reflecting her father’s admiration for creativity and beauty. Sonal was born in 2009 in Yellow Springs, Ohio and is currently 15 years old. She is a student and enjoys dancing, singing, and acting.

Sonal made her film debut in 2018, when she appeared in the movie A Star Is Born. In the film, Sonal plays the role of Frankie Stone, the daughter of Noodles, a close friend of Cooper’s character, Jackson Maine. Noodles is played by Sonal’s real-life father, Dave Chappelle. Sonal and Chappelle share a few scenes together in the film, showing their natural chemistry and bond as father and daughter.

Sonal’s appearance in A Star Is Born was well-received by critics and audiences alike, who praised her for her cute and charming performance. She also attended the film’s premiere at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, along with her father.

Sonal has not yet revealed if she plans to pursue a career in acting or follow in her father’s footsteps as a comedian. She is still focused on her studies. She is very proud of her father’s legacy and supports his artistic vision. She is also very close to her mother and her brothers, Sulayman and Ibrahim. Sonal is a beautiful, talented, and confident young girl who has a bright future ahead of her.
