He opened his very first tattoo shop in 1999 which was the Golden Skull Tattoo. Over the years, Cleen continued to hone his trade and expand his business at the same time. He currently owns three different tattoo shops namely Golden Skull Tattoo, Chrome Gypsy Tattoo, and Nevada Tattoo Co. Apart from his tattoo shops, Cleen is also the owner of Cleen Supply Company which provides tattooing materials at an affordable cost.

Cleen made his first appearance in the reality series Ink Master in 2014. 18 artists participated in the 5th season of the show and Cleen lost out in the finals to Jason Clay Dunn. He came back in 2016, determined to win it all. But he once again lost the title of Ink Master to Anthony Michaels. Cleen returned after a few seasons as a mentor and finally won the title of Ink Master in the master face-off against Christian Buckingham. Cleen also participated in the Ink Masters: shop wars, in 2017 but couldn’t make it to the finals. Cleen made 53 episodes in appearance in Ink Master from 2014-2018. 

Personal Life:

Cleen Rock One was a married man for the longest time. While there are very few details about his ex-wife, he has shared pictures of her on Instagram. However, the pair split sometime during the early 2010s due to undisclosed reasons. During the time of marriage, the pair had two children. Cleen’s eldest son is Bubba Steinke who turned 22 years old in April 2023. Bubba is a tattoo enthusiast and had to wait until his 18th birthday to get his first one. On his 18th birthday, Cleen made a Simpson Tattoo on the lower left posterior side of his leg.
