But despite his diverse and intriguing career, Paregeo is best recognized as the husband of MCU Actress, Zoe Saldana. Saldana is best known for her portrayal of Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and remains one of the most recognized and well-loved characters in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Early Life:

Marco Perego was born on the 1st of March 1979 in Salò, Italy. Born and raised in Italy, Perego is the only child in the family and was raised by his father, who worked as a waiter, and his mother, who stayed home to take care of the kids. While not much is known about Perego’s education and early life, his interest in football is often discussed. A talented dribbler of the ball, Perego was noticed by a scout when he played for his high school team and was featured in the Venice U-17 team. After graduating from high school, Perego quit his studies to focus on his career but had to give up football after a horrific injury to the leg ended his career. 

Life after football:

After coming to terms with his injury, Perego moved to New York City to pursue his passion as an artist. He made the move in 2002 and took up several odd jobs in New York to support his art. After selling his first-ever painting to Gilda Moratti, Perego started getting recognized in the art world. Talking to the New York Observer, Perego recounted the meeting with Moratti.

“I was living [in] Spanish Harlem without money and I was living on 104th Street. One day what happened was, I come to her and I say, ‘Listen, look at my work, tell me what you think. If it is a joke I will try to find something else.”

Moratti recognized his talent and at present, Perego’s pieces sell in excess of $300,000 per piece. One of his most notable works came in 2008 when Perego worked on Dolce and Gabbana’s 2008 fashion campaign, entitled, Where The Fashion Meets Art. Since then, Perego has had exhibitions all around the world including Museo Tuscolano in Rome, Art Basel Miami, the Royal Academy of Arts in London, and Zurich’s Galerie Gmurzynska. 

In addition to his work as an artist, Perego has also had a few stints in the producer seat. Perego made his debut as a producer in 2014 with the short movie, Me + Her. He next worked on the 2016 documentary, Black and White Stripes: The Juventus Story, and is currently focusing on Keyhole Garden, which is still in post-production.

March Perego has been happily married to his wife, Zoe Saldana. Not much is known about the pair’s relationship timeline as things were kept under wraps. The pair were first spotted kissing at the premiere of Saldana’s movie, Star Trek: Into the Darkness.
