Early Life:

John M. Cusimano was born on the 19th of August 1967 in Long Island, New York. As both his maternal and paternal grandparents were originally from Italy, John shares a heavy Italian descent. As the only child in the family, John devoted all his time to music and wanted to make it out as a musician. He moved on from instrument to instrument, honing his skills as the years passed. After passing his matriculation exams in 1985, John enrolled at New York State University. He graduated in 1989 and enrolled at Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law for a Juris Doctorate.

John’s debut film was released when he was just 15 years of age. He appeared in the 1982 flick, World War Mud before leaving the entertainment industry. After graduating in 1994, John began working as a lawyer. His debut as a producer came two years later when he assisted in the production of the English version of Rurouni Kenshin: Wandering Samurai. Similar to his acting career, John’s first work as a producer proved to be the last one. After working for eight years as a lawyer, John formed the musical group, The Cringe.

The band formed in the early 2000s and operated mostly on weekends. Things picked up pace in the mid-2000s and the band was invited to play at the SXSW music festival in 2008 and 2009.
