Guraish Aldjufrie is an Indonesian real estate investor who finds himself in the spotlight due to his marriage with Kyle Richard. Guraish was married to an American actress Kyle Richard from 1988-1992.

Early Life:

Guraish Aldjufrie was born on September 21, 1964, in Indonesia. Born and raised in Indonesia, Guraish is a man of few words. Even after getting married to Kyle, Guraish never wanted to appear on social media and continued to lead a private life. When talking about her ex-husband, Kyle revealed that Guraish is shy and doesn’t like all the media attention. He shares Indonesian, Arab, and Dutch descent and has lived in Indonesia most of his life. 

Meeting Kyle and Getting Married: 

Guraish and Kyle met when Kyle was still a teenager. The pair met at a Tina Turner concert and began dating soon after. Talking about their first meeting, Kyle revealed that Guraish had sent his friend to ask her out on his behalf. 

“I lied and I said I was 19 and I had braces and I was hiding my braces. And then I got scared, so I had my friend come with me and then it was like a group of people and he was in the group and we became friends. He speaks good English, but he didn’t when we first met.”

Following their first meeting, the pair married in 1988 in a small ceremony. They had their daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, the same year they got married. The marriage was short-lived as the pair separated nearly four years into marriage in 1992. Following the split, Guraish moved back to Indonesia while Kyle continued her work as an actor. 

Family comes first:

Even though Guraish moved back to Indonesia following the split, he continued to remain close to his daughter Farrah Aldjufrie and ex-wife. Back in Indonesia, Guraish shifted his focus to land development and commercial real estate. Guraish is not only close to his ex-wife and daughter but also to her present husband, Mauricio Umansky. Talking about her father, Farrah spoke to The Daily Dish, 

“He’s very, very close with my mom and Mauricio, like they’re great, great, great friends. I always say I have two dads; they both raised me. They both get along amazingly. They’ve done [real estate] deals together. My dad refers clients to Mauricio all the time. We all get together, he comes to our house for Christmas, Thanksgiving, it’s all good. It funny ’cause I’m an only child at one house [with my dad] and then I have this huge family at this other house [with my mom and three younger sisters], so it’s kind of the best of both worlds. There’s no real separation or divide.”

Farah describes her father as ‘the funniest thing’ because of his shy demeanor and life out of the spotlight. Following the divorce, Guraish chose not to remarry and focused on his real estate career.
