David Paul Olsen was born on the 2nd of January 1976, in Moline, Illinois, U.S. Born to Jeanne, a non-denominational chaplain, and Paul V. Olsen, a professor of English, David spent most of his early life with his younger brother, Eric Christian Olsen. On the academic side of things, David graduated from a private school in Illinois before moving on to attend the London Metropolitan University. 

Professional Career:

David began his career as a stunt performer in one of the episodes of Twenty Good Years. In 2006, David was asked to work on the movie, Deceit, which marked his first work on a big project. He followed his debut role with a few other appearances in The Young and the Restless,  The Mentalist, and Bones. Despite giving stellar performances, David could never land his big break and in 2009, David was cast in the movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Following a few appearances later that year in Community, True Blood, and Extant, David landed a role as a stunt double for his brother, Eric Olsen, in NCIS: Los Angeles. David also worked on a few other movies after his appearances in NCIS: Los Angeles including the Swiss Army Man and The Nun.

Personal life:

David Paul Olsen is happily married to his wife Daniela Ruah and the pair have been together since 2011. The pair first met after Eric Olsen walked in to see that both Ruah and David were going on dates with awful people. Eric became quite the matchmaker and helped the relationship progress. As he admitted on, The Queen Latifah Show in 2014

“When they got together, because he came on to do stunts, I would say something nice about her to him and then say something to him about her. That was enough to kinda get them started in conversation and it became this wonderful relationship.”

Eric’s intervention worked and the pair tied the knot on the 19th of June, 2014 in Portugal. Following the pair’s wedding, Ruah took to Instagram to announce the happy news. The post read,

“Together for over 7 and married 4 years today! Everything is better with you: parenting, traveling, working, building life…. you motivate me to reach farther everyday. I’ll marry you all the time. Oh and you make really cute kids….”

The pair have two children. Their eldest, River, was born in December 2013 and is followed by a sister,  Sierra, who was born in September 2016.
